Kern Rx Return

Easy access and availability of prescription and over-the-counter medications can lead to misuse and abuse. According to the California Department of Public Health, in 2016 Kern County, there were 50 opioid overdose deaths, 119 opioid overdose emergency department visits, and 95 opioid overdose hospitalizations.

Kern Rx Return is a safe medication disposal project that provides a free community receptacles for disposal of unused, unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications.
