Behavioral Health Recovery Specialist I - EXTRA HELP

Salary: $1,691.03 - $2,064.41 Biweekly

 

The Mental Health Recovery Specialist I is the entry level in the Mental Health Recovery Specialist flexible classification series. Incumbents perform the necessary para­professional mental health case management and rehabilitative services. Incumbents who possess specific education, licensing or certification may also perform duties within the scope of their practice. The Mental Health Recovery Specialist is distinguished from the Mental Health Recovery Specialist II by the degree of responsibility for decision making and independent action. Promotion to a Mental Health Recovery Specialist II is considered upon an incumbent meeting the minimum qualifications, and on a merit basis, subject to the recommendation of the Department Head and approval of the Director of Personnel.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NURSE I/II/III

Salary: $5,220.78 - $8,385.17 Monthly

 

Level I:
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California.

Level II:
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of California AND Possession of a valid American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification in psychiatric or mental health nursing, OR possession of a valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of California AND two years full-time nursing experience in a psychiatric setting or a mental health program.
 
Level III: 
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of California AND three years full-time nursing experience in a psychiatric setting or mental health program, OR 
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of California AND two years full-time nursing experience in a psychiatric setting or a mental health program, AND possession of a valid American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification on Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing.

Office Services Technician 

Salary: $2,446.21 - $2,986.32 Month

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent and two years of clerical, general computer and office experience directly related to the area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Behavioral Health Therapist I/II 

​

Salary: $2,338.55 - $3,485.22 Biweekly

 

Level I:
Completion of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Social Work or a related field, AND eligibility for registration with the State of California as an Associate Clinical Social Worker,  Marriage and Family Therapist intern or Pre-licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Within 90 days of hire incumbents must obtain and maintain a current and valid intern or associate registration with the State of California and obtain California licensure within the time period specified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Failure to maintain a current and valid registration may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination, OR,  Completion of all Psychology doctoral coursework and completion of a Psychology Internship from an Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) program. Pre-doctoral psychology candidates cannot be employed to provide mental health services unless they obtain a waiver from the California Department of Health Care Services, even if registered with the California Board of Psychology. A waiver granted may not exceed five years from the date of employment.
 
Level II:
Completion of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Social Work or a related field, AND licensure with the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) OR completion of a Doctorate Degree in a Behavioral Science from an accredited college or university and eligible for licensing waiver with the State Department of Mental Health. Pre-Licensed Doctoral psychology candidates cannot be employed to provide mental health services unless they obtain a waiver from the California Department of Health Care Services, even if registered with the California Board of Psychology. A waiver granted may not exceed five (5) years from the date of employment. California licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC)  must maintain current and valid licensure with the State of California. Failure to maintain a current and valid license may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Behavioral Health Nurse I/II - EXTRA HELP

Salary: $5,239-$6,395/Month

 

Mental Health Nurse I is the entry-level position in the Mental Health Nurse classification. Incumbents have a comprehensive knowledge of mental health nursing practices upon employment

 

Mental Health Nurse II is the advanced-level position in the Mental Health Nurse classification. National certification as a Psychiatric Nurse is desirable. Promotion to Mental Health Nurse II is made upon completion of the minimum qualifications, the recommendation of the Director of Mental Health, and the approval of the Director of Personnel.
